ourBRIDGE for KIDS

ourBRIDGE for KIDS is recruiting Classroom and Reading Support Volunteers for the 2024-2025 school year! As a classroom support volunteer at ourBRIDGE, you would have a unique opportunity to become a part of a loving community that supports the well-being and acculturation of newly arrived and first generation children. If you are someone who loves kids, getting messy with slime, and climbing trees then this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! As a volunteer you would assist kids in their daily activities, help them with their homework, and engage in educational activities. The volunteer hours are as follows: Elementary school-Monday-Friday 3:30-5:30 PM Middle School- Monday-Friday 3:30-5:30PM. The address of our East location is 3925 Willard Farrow Dr, Charlotte, NC 28215 and our South location operates out of Pinewood Elementary School. Volunteers who work with BRIDGE kids must: attend a volunteer orientation,  pass a background check ($25 cost) and complete an online Abuse Awareness and Prevention training. We do ask that volunteers commit to volunteering at least two hours every week for ten weeks for consistency.
