Common Wealth Charlotte, the leading organization providing financial literacy education and capability-building services in the region, delivers both workshops and one-to-one counseling to the region, all for the purpose of aiding clients building assets, building credit and establishing a pathway to building wealth. 

Now, you can play a significant role in this mission.

CWC offers certification in three courses: 

  1. Empowerment Workshop This is our workhorse Personal Finance 101 – an overview of income, expenses, and credit, and how to manage each for a brighter financial future
  2. Understanding the Credit System A deep dive into credit, the credit system, credit scoring and sound borrowing practice
  3. Financial Goal Setting How to set short-, medium- and long-term SMART goals for achieving financial success

Each training session includes an overview of CWC's trauma-informed approach. Certification is 8 hours, including one 4-hour classroom session with review of the material, CWC’s trauma-informed approach, techniques for working with low-income individuals, role-playing for understanding of our projected audience and Q&A; attendance at two (2) one-hour workshops to see other certified leaders in action; lead one (1) workshop with certified instructor observing, and one (1) review with your instructor to evaluate your leadership.
