Being a CIS Success Coach entails meeting with your student, preferably every week (minimum of twice a month) at an established time during the school day, and acting as a "mentor." What does that mean though? As a CIS Success Coach, you will work on developing a relationship with your student, guiding students through goal-setting and decision-making, and creating self-awareness. We ensure that our CIS Success Coaches are trained and prepared to support their students by requiring that our volunteers participate in a 1.5 hour-training session and providing ongoing support.
