First Gen Success is seeking a dedicated and charismatic Community Outreach Volunteer to lead our development efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing financial support from various sources and cultivating lasting relationships with major donors. This role involves strategizing and implementing approaches to build and maintain a robust base of individual donors committed to supporting our mission annually. Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead development initiatives to expand our outreach and increase funding opportunities.
• Secure financial contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support First Gen Success’s programs and objectives.
• Develop and nurture long-term relationships with major donors, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support.
• Create and execute a comprehensive strategy to establish a substantial and sustained base of annual individual donors.
• Collaborate with team members to organize fundraising events and campaigns.
• Represent First Gen Success at community events and in various forums to enhance the organization’s visibility and expand our network.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and leadership.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for the mission of First Gen Success and a commitment to supporting first-generation students.
• The position offers flexible working hours, with the number of hours dependent on the applicant’s availability.
