Emerald School of Excellence (ESE) is a transformative, accredited recovery high school in Charlotte, NC, offering a personalized education to students in grades 9-12. ESE serves adolescents in recovery from mental health (including eating disorders) and/or substance use struggles, empowering them to achieve long-term recovery, graduate, and prepare for a successful future.

We’re seeking passionate volunteer substitute teachers to support our mission and make a lasting impact on students’ journeys toward long-term recovery and success.
