First Gen Success

First Gen Success is in search of a passionate and dedicated volunteer Grant Writer to assist in securing funding that will empower first-generation students to thrive in their educational pursuits. This role involves preparing grant proposals and managing grant submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Grant Proposals: Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals, including narratives,  and supporting documents.
• Tailor Proposals to Funders: Customize proposals to align with specific funders' interests, guidelines, and requirements.
• Ensure Compliance: Review grant guidelines to ensure all applications are complete and comply with the funder's criteria.

Qualifications:

• Experience in grant writing or a strong interest in developing grant writing skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.
• Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with the educational challenges faced by first-generation students is a plus.
• Access to a computer and internet for remote work.

Time Commitment:

• Flexible hours, with no minimum hours required, are dependent on the volunteer’s availability and the timelines for grant applications and deadlines.
• Commitment to maintain consistent communication with the First Gen Success team.
