FOODiversity is fighting to improve food access for individuals and families who are facing food insecurity AND managing dietary restrictions (e.g. food allergy, celiac disease, food intolerances).
FOODiversity's service population has a bigger mountain to climb as they make efforts to feed themselves and their families. They are often overlooked in the Charitable Food System, where foods received are not free of their allergens. Exacerbating their food insecurity, many times education about how to manage their medical conditions is not available; families are left without information about what foods are "safe" and how to prevent or respond to an allergic reaction.
FOODiversity addresses these issues, and more, by increasing access to allergen-friendly food and health education.
FOODiversity is forming a Fundraising Committee and seeks community members who are interested in the following roles:
- CHAIR of the Fundraising Committee
- Fundraising Committee Members
The Fundraising Committee will also include FOODiversity Board of Directors representatives and FOODiversity staff.
