Friends of the Children (FOTC)- Charlotte provides Charlotte’s most vulnerable children with a long-term, salaried, professional mentor, who we call a Friend, for 12 ½ years – no matter what.
Friends of the Children is a national model with proven track-record of releasing children from intergenerational poverty.

Age Range: 4-17 yrs of age
Availability:
School Year- Mon-Thurs, 4-6pm
Summer - 12-5pm
Skills Needed: Mentorship, Leadership, Problem-solving, Relationship-building, Culinary, Life Skills and Experiences
Volunteer Interests:
- Tutoring
- Career and college readiness/Skill development
- Arts & Crafts
- Assist with finding resources
- Cultural and community enrichment and connection
- Exploring new places in Charlotte, places of business, recreational, outdoors, extra-curriculars
- Cooking classes
We are looking for volunteers who can help with our interests listed above!
Activities can be done at our location or yours!
