The Friends Together Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Friends Together meetup program which fosters meaningful 1-1 connections between typically-developing teens and children and teens with developmental differences. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of program management, child development, and social-emotional learning.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain Friends Together Calendar, ensuring timely communication and reminders to participants.
- Actively oversee and nurture Friends Together 1-1 meetups, monitoring interactions and providing support as needed.
- Assist in planning and coordinating engaging activities for Friends Together pairs during their meetups.
- Observe, document and report on program activities and outcomes, contributing to program evaluation and improvement.
- Attend team meetings and trainings as required.
Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 3-6PM
Qualifications:
- Interest in child development, special education, or social work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with children, teens, and adults.
- Enthusiasm and dedication to fostering meaningful friendships and promoting inclusive communities.
