First Gen Success is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Grant Researcher. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities and creating a well-organized database for these grants. This role is crucial in securing funding to support our mission of empowering first-generation students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct extensive research to identify potential grant opportunities relevant to First Gen Success’s mission and programs.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive, user-friendly database of identified grants, including details such as eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and funding amounts.
  • Analyze and evaluate the feasibility of applying for each grant based on First Gen Success’s needs and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to prioritize grant applications and develop a strategic application schedule.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in grant availability and update the database accordingly.
  • Assist in the grant application process as needed, including gathering necessary information and preparing application materials.

Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate potential funding opportunities.
  • Proficiency in database management and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in grant research or a related field is preferred.
  • Passion for the mission of First Gen Success and a commitment to supporting first-generation students.
