Hope For Harvest Youth Center, Inc

Volunteer Opportunity:
Hope for Harvest Annual Thanksgiving Giveback
I'm Interested!

From November 22nd-24th we have various volunteer opportunities at Hope for Harvest

Throughout the weekend, volunteers will play a key role in ensuring the success of our events by assisting with setup, guest check-in and guidance, and event breakdown and cleanup.

Friday: Preparation Day
Friday will be focused on getting ready for Saturday's Fashion Show and preparing for the rest of the weekend's activities. Volunteers will assist with event setup and the packing of care kits for distribution.

Saturday: Charity Fashion Show
On Saturday, we will host a Charity Fashion Show, presented by David Flowers III, owner of Dave, and Assistant Men’s Polo Buyer at Ralph Lauren's NYC headquarters. The show aims to highlight the journey of young Black children through clothing, offering a powerful narrative of hope and resilience. This event will bring together underserved and homeless youth, special guests, board members, donors, sponsors, and community leaders for a front-row celebration. Volunteers will assist with managing the event space, checking guests in and out, maintaining the venue, and helping with setup and breakdown. After the show, volunteers will assist with preparations for Sunday’s events.

Sunday: Community Service and Feeding Event
Sunday will feature a church service led by Pastor Harold Dunkin, followed by a community feeding program and various activities. Volunteers will help with setup for the service, manage stations during the event, serve food, and assist with cleanup.  volunteers will play an integral role in distributing food, and essential resources, and helping make this a joyous event for our community!

Volunteer Hours:

  • Friday (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Setup for Saturday’s Fashion Show and packing care kits and various other event needs.
  • Saturday (9:00 AM - 11:00 PM): Assist with setup, event management, guest services, cleanup, and preparation for Sunday.
  • Sunday (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM): Help with church service setup, community feeding event, turkey giveaways, clothing drive, and cleanup.
