Visit a member in their home and perform one of the following: 1) Housekeeping, consisting of vacuuming, dusting, 1-2 loads of laundry, washing a small number of dishes (a sinkful), etc.; 2) Repairs, consisting of changing smoke alarm batteries, tightening loose fixtures, changing light bulbs, taking out the trash, etc.; 3) yardwork, consisting of picking up branches after a storm, trimming a few (1-3) hedges, raking some leaves, picking up litter in the front of the house, etc. (NO weekly grass cutting is involved). The length of a volunteer's stay will be at least one half hour, but no more than 3 hours. If the task is not completed within the maximum time frame, the volunteer is free to leave the task unfinished. For any of these activities, volunteers are always free to decline if they feel the task(s) is beyond their physical capability.
