WE SUPPORT THE WHOLE FAMILY

Charlotte Angels exists to serve foster families and kids. Individuals and group volunteers are matched with a local family experiencing foster care.

Our Love Box® program provides community and holistic support to fostering families, including caregivers, children experiencing foster care, and biological/adopted children. This wrap-around support empowers caregivers to continue to do the important and meaningful work of being foster parents. Each Love Box® volunteer/group will be matched with a local foster family based on location and compatibility. When our families are matched with committed volunteers who show up monthly, parents feel supported, and children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self-confidence. This support also leads to increased placement stability, reducing the high rate of turnover that often occurs in the foster care system.

Each month, the volunteers pack needed items, thoughtful gifts, and personal notes into a "Love Box" and deliver to their family. The delivery is an opportunity to build relationships with the children by playing games, sharing a meal, reading together...all things that kids that need to feel loved.

Volunteers must be over the age of 21, commit to visiting the family at least once a month, complete a thorough background check, sign a confidentiality waiver through Charlotte Angels, and complete a one hour training with a Charlotte Angels case manager.
