First Gen Success

Position Overview:

First Gen Success seeks dedicated individuals to join our Programming Committee as volunteers. As a committee member, you will support our mission to empower first-generation college students. Multiple volunteer opportunities await, allowing you to select the role that aligns best with your interests and skills. This includes supporting monthly content development, acting as an Event Coordinator for venue setup, sign-in management, ensuring necessary supplies, serving as a Session Facilitator when available, and contributing to curriculum planning.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly content development initiatives.
• Take charge as an Event Coordinator, managing venue setup, sign-in sheets, and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
• Facilitate sessions when available to enhance the learning experience.
• Contribute to curriculum planning efforts for the overall development of our programs.

Qualifications:

• Passion for supporting first-generation college students.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility and availability for occasional session facilitation.

Commitment:

• Flexibility in scheduling with a minimum commitment of 2 hours per month.
• Attendance at monthly committee meetings.
