Position Overview

As a Fundraising Committee Member for QCRA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's fundraising strategy. This volunteer position involves developing a structured process to identify and cultivate funding sources, building a strong donor network, and increasing social media engagement to support QCRA’s fundraising goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the committee to design an efficient fundraising process to reach fundraising targets.  Define strategies and workflows for identifying and pitching funding opportunities.
  • Identify and connect with potential funders through research, networks, and events to build relationships and expand QCRA’s support.
  • Take proactive steps to boost social media engagement metrics by creating and sharing compelling content that highlights the organization’s mission and fundraising efforts, while monitoring trends to uncover opportunities for greater visibility and donor outreach.
  • Attend monthly committee meetings to report progress, share ideas, and refine strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong passion for STEM education and QCRA’s mission.
  • Good communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with social media platforms and strategies for increasing engagement.
  • Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or business development is a plus.

Commitment

  • Approximately 6-8 hours per month, including committee meetings and independent work.
  • Remote work with a flexible schedule and in-person activities as needed.
