Position Overview
The Sponsor Liaison plays a key role in expanding support for QCRA’s mission by building and nurturing relationships with sponsors, identifying grant opportunities, recruiting volunteers, and facilitating talent development programs between sponsors & students. Key responsibilities include:
- Build and sustain relationships with sponsors. While outreach may begin with the liaison’s employer, this role prioritizes expanding connections across one’s professional network.
- Research and identify funding opportunities within assigned sponsor relationships. Collaborate with leadership to prepare grant proposals, applications, and compliance with requirements.
- Engage sponsors and their employees to recruit volunteers. Implement strategies to participate in corporate social responsibility programs and ensure impactful volunteer experiences.
- Act as a bridge between QCRA students and sponsors to facilitate internships, mentorships, and employment opportunities, as a pathway for the sponsor’s talent pipeline.
Qualifications
- A passion for STEM education and the mission of Queen City Robotics Alliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships.
- Experience in partnership development, grant writing, recruitment, or talent acquisition is a plus.
Commitment and Reporting
- This is a volunteer position without remuneration, reporting to executive leadership.
- Volunteers must register with FIRST and complete the Youth Protection screening process.
- The estimated time commitment is 10–15 hours per month.
- Commit to representing QCRA with professionalism and act as ambassadors to stakeholders.
