Right Moves for Youth

Right Moves for Youth will need several volunteers on race day for the tasks listed below.  They will be arriving between 4:45-6:00 PM. All volunteers are provided an RMFY Volunteer t-shirt upon arrival. 

Race Set-Up – 9 Volunteers (3:00 PM-5:00 pm)

Assist RMFY staff in the First Ward Park to set up tables, signage, tents, etc.  

Volunteer Check-In Table – 4 Volunteers (3:30-7:30 pm, 2 shifts of 2 ppl)

Help us greet volunteers at the volunteer check-in table, located in First Ward Park.  Give them directions and a volunteer t-shirt.  If someone is running late, call or text them to understand their arrival time.  

Packet Pick-Up and Registration Tables – 6 Volunteers (5-6:30 pm)

Registration & packet pick-up volunteers should arrive at the Packet Pickup tent at 4:45 PM. They should be finished at approximately 6:45 PM. Help organize race t-shirts and packet information.  Greet people as they come to pick up their items.  Help people register until the race begins.  Help pack up extra t-shirts and items after the race begins.  

Food and Drink Tables –8 Volunteers (5-6:30 pm)

We are receiving donated snacks and drinks for guests.  Help us keep tables neat, hand out items, and help monitor 1 snack and drink per person. 

Finish Line Drink Distribution – 8 Volunteers (6:15-7:45 pm)

Help prepare baby pools of ice and drinks set up at the finish line.  Hand out drinks as runners finish.  Restock as needed and help clean up.  

Finish Line Medal Distribution – 15 Volunteers (6:15-7:45 pm)

Hand out 1 medal for each race participant as they cross the finish line. 

Course Volunteer – 7 Volunteers (6-7:45 pm)

This year, the 5k will be held around First Ward Park.  Space out volunteers along the course to direct participants in the correct direction. 

Race Clean Up – 6 Volunteers (7:30-9 pm)

Help RMFY break down event (tables, signage, t-shirts, etc.).  Help RMFY load vans.
