Volunteer Board Position--Grant Writer

We're looking for a talented and conscientious volunteer board member to lead and strengthen our programs for children and youth in foster care. If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness, and leadership for approximately 5 hours a week, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, email us your contact information to schedule a phone conversation. As Charlotte Angels continues to grow, more fundraising dollars will be needed to reach our goals. The Grant Writer will prepare grant applications and research grant opportunities in order to procure funds for operating expenses and specific projects/campaigns. 

Grant Writer

  • Must be passionate about our mission!
  • Must commit to one year of service as a board member.
  • Must attend 75% of board meetings.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Previous experience in grant writing required 
  • Excellent research and grammar skills 
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated
