Call for Volunteer Board Members for Building Hope Building Commitment (BHBC)
Dear Community Members,
Building Hope Building Commitment (BHBC) is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. If you are committed to ending homelessness and promoting self-sufficiency through housing retention and stabilization services, we invite you to contribute your skills and expertise to our mission.
About BHBC:
BHBC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina, dedicated to supporting individuals facing housing instability and homelessness. We provide comprehensive, person-centered care, including housing search and placement, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, job training, financial literacy workshops, and case management. Our goal is to empower individuals, reduce homelessness, and foster stronger, inclusive communities in Mecklenburg County.
Target Audience:
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a strong interest in ending homelessness and promoting housing stability.
- Believe in the power of community support and equity.
- Possess fundraising capabilities and are willing to leverage their networks.
- Can commit to attending regular board meetings and actively participate in committee work.
- Are dedicated to ensuring that our community has a stake in the success of BHBC's mission.

Time Commitment:
Board members are expected to:
- Attend monthly board meetings, either in person or virtually.
- Participate in at least one committee, which may require additional meetings and work.
- Support and participate in fundraising efforts and events.
- Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per month for board activities and responsibilities.
