Indie On Wheels - Best Short Films

Our next Indie on Wheels screening will mark the return of some of our audience's favorite shorts from the 2023 Charlotte Film Festival! This free screening includes:

  • REVERB, directed by Liv Boren
12-year-old Vivienne sneaks into her first concert with her brother, leading to a shocking on-stage tragedy that reopens her suppressed grief over her mother's death.
  • Fallout, directed by Madison Hill
Fallout investigates a rural Appalachian community's illness outbreak, caused by environmental contamination from a nearby US Army Ammunition Plant, Virginia's largest polluter.
  • After Death, directed by Gavin Jennings Harwell
A father tidies up an unfinished life after the death of his son.
  • Friday Night Blind, directed by Cott Krahn and Robb Fischer
At Burnham Bowl, the mixed Milwaukee Beer Barrels Blind Bowling League emphasizes friendship, fun, and living one frame at a time. Friday Night Blind features three visually impaired bowling friends in this heartwarming tale.

The screenings will be followed by a talkback with Madison Hill and Gavin Jennings Harwell.

Trigger warning: the content programmed for this screening contains depictions of and themes based on trauma, grief, death, and suicide.
