Foster Village Charlotte

As children and caregivers navigate a messy child welfare system, our volunteers help bridge gaps and remind families that they are not alone through the ups and downs of foster care.

Volunteers put the “Village” in Foster Village, and we’d love to help you find your fit in this village of support. This volunteer training will highlight FVC's volunteer opportunities, specifically our Childcare & Events Team. As a member of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to help support caregivers through childcare for Foster Village Charlotte’s support groups and workshops and additional opportunities to engage through quarterly family gatherings, parent morning-outs, and more. As this team will have a crossroads with children and families in care, we will require that each member of this team participate in a background check and take part in sensitivity training provided by Foster Village staff. Please note this ongoing commitment is flexible.
