Event:
Healing Lives for 65! Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center's 65th Anniversary Celebration

Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center will celebrate our 65th (sapphire) anniversary on September 27, 2024! Event details are being finalized, and we will hold the celebration and dinner at Project 658, 3646 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28205.  The event will feature entertainment, music, community awards, and most importantly an inspiring celebration of recovery and renewal. Ramona Holloway, co-host of the award-winning “Matt and Ramona” show as emcee for the event, and local band the Bad Daddies will perform! We anticipate 300 attendees.  Valuable sponsorship opportunities are available, and individual ticket and table sales can be purchased via Event Brite.

Anuvia's unique role is providing mental health and substance use treatment to adolescents and adults living in the community regardless of their ability to pay.  Anuvia was recently selected to become the only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Mecklenburg County, a designation that is enabling us to expand behavioral health services to veterans and individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, as well as to reach families with family-strengthening and prevention programs. We directly served 8,921 unique individuals in FY 2022-23 and touched countless others through outreach and public awareness efforts.

Events like this celebrate the vital work that leads to health and recovery. They also enable us to continue to meet the growing behavioral health needs in our community while removing financial barriers to care. Proceeds from the event will provide critical support that will enable Anuvia to maintain this "open door policy" so that all may learn the tools to healthier lives in our community.
