What We Do
Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center is a nonprofit substance use disorder treatment and prevention facility in Charlotte, NC, that was founded by the Mecklenburg ABC Board in 1958.
Anuvia is CARF-accredited and recognized by the State of North Carolina for excellence. We offer a full continuum of assessment, outpatient and residential treatment services. Anuvia also provides prevention and intervention programs to children and families to address substance use. We offer services on a sliding fee scale basis, and do not turn anyone away due to inability to pay; thus, we are a critical safety net in the community, and many of our clients are low-income. We are also home to the only Latino Services Division in the region offering cultural-and language-appropriate education, assessment and treatment.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 - SPECIFIC NEEDS:
How We Are Impacted:
Outpatient Treatment Services have been transitioned to telehealth, many employees are working remotely, and the demand for residential treatment has increased.
How You Can Help:
Financial Donations Requested: Financial donations will help Anuvia pay for smart phones for clients to access telehealth services. In addition, due to the increase in demand for residential services, Anuvia's clothing and supply closet for residential clients has been depleted. We need over-the-counter medications, cleaning supplies, safety supplies, and clothing for male and female clients, arts, crafts and games.
Clothing, arts, crafts and games may also be ordered from our amazon smile wish list linked to our Shop for Good listing.
