What We Do
Please note, due to the risk associated with Coronavirus, we are suspending ALL tours and volunteer activities until further notice. For more information please visit our website. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the safety of our kids and staff.
Many of the children we serve at Alexander Youth Network have never had enough. Not enough love, food, shelter, and safety. For varied reasons, relationships with the adults in their lives have not been positive. That’s where Alexander comes in. We provide a safe space for children to heal and learn how to trust again.
Unlike other mental health providers, we offer a full continuum of care – meaning that a child has a treatment team of caring adults that stay with them throughout the healing process. Through the help of donors and friends, Alexander served over 10,000 children in 2018 across 64 counties.

IMPACT OF COVID-19 - SPECIFIC NEEDS:
In following the recommendation of national, state, and local health organizations, Alexander has temporarily halted visitation to many of our programs. Kids in our residential program cannot see their families in person or have lunch and dinner with their buddy. Many of our school-based day treatment programs can no longer meet in the schools, but our staff have found creative ways to continue therapeutic treatment in a new and safe environment.
Again, these are unprecedented times and the needs are great. We want to thank you for your continued support of Alexander. To help us navigate our current challenges, we ask that you consider supporting our organization in two ways:
1. Purchase items from our Amazon Wish list
Items from our Amazon Wish list include games for our kids, art supplies, critical day to day supplies that many of our families can’t afford, items that keep our kids connected to family and friends.
2. Donate to our Staff Development Fund
Our staff are integral to all we do and they help our children feel safe during this time of upheaval around them. The Staff Development fund allows us to give back to those who are taking care of our most vulnerable by providing things like education assistance, emergency relief to staff who may be facing displacement, or childcare for their kids who cannot attend school at this time.
