The Be More Foundation’s mission is to empower and encourage wellness in the Black, Brown, & LGBTQ+ communities through promoting creative pathways to authentic self-advocacy and radical self-care. Our work focuses on providing access to resources that advance equity, encourage growth and social-emotional wellbeing.
Our vision is a liberated community in which queer folk of color have the support and resources they need to thrive. Our primary focus is to curate and elevate safe spaces where Black, Brown, & LGBTQ+ youth are centered and celebrated, as they examine social systems, learn life skills, and heal from trauma.
We design real-world applicable, creative, and social-emotional educational programming that provides expressive outlets for our Be More family. Our events inspire, unite, and motivate our community members to utilize their creative power for positive change through experiential learning
- Be More Bakes is our tasty fundraising effort in which we offer monthly bake sale pop ups and catering in Charlotte and surrounding areas.
- Out of 284 survey responses, 100% of our program participants stated that they believed our workshops were a safe space to grow and heal.
- We've had over 300 participants enjoy our virtual "We've Got Time" workshops, a creative series to help community members practice self-care.
