Bfit Big Dreams Youth Incorporated
Big Dreams provides activities during breaks in the traditional school year to support the physical, mental, and social development of youth ages 8-12. Our organization offers three Enrichment Camps annually that include culturally diverse experiences that will broaden youth horizons and allow them to dream big. Programs schedules are filled with practical learning activities like financial literacy and reading proficiency. Sports and daily exercise like yoga, and hiking are also a part of the experience. Programming also includes a healthy social component which is important in areas where youth suffer from socioeconomic challenges. Activities include role plays and dialogue about bullying, gang violence, and issues relevant to their community. Off- site adventures include but not limited to the U.S Whitewater Center, Charlotte IFLY, and Fahrenheit Charlotte. Back to school shopping trips, and Holiday sponsorship are also apart of what Big Dreams offers to the youth we serve. The idea is to assist youth in the academic process, increase feelings of self-efficacy, and promote positive decision making. Programming shall Identify interest amongst youth, and we hope to form a network through these relationships that work in harmony to support the common goal.
- Support 50 youth annually
- Provide first time experiences that youth may not otherwise be afforded the opportunity to experience
- Assist youth in the academic process
