What We Do

Black Social Capital Initiative (BSCI) seeks to bring top black talent together to better understand how to acquire, navigate and succeed in an executive level leadership role of a nonprofit. Our model is a customized multi-session workshop with access to one-on-one mentoring with an existing black CEO/ED. Our flagship program is designed strengthen Black leaders through: 

  • A better understanding of what leadership looks like as a Black nonprofit executive level leader in this community;
  • Leveraging the opportunity to develop, build and strengthen their own social capital networks;
  • Taking advantage of other leadership development program opportunities; 
  • Joining boards and other civic groups to embark on community initiatives or projects; and
  • Increased opportunities for Blacks at the CEO and ED level in nonprofit organizations.
