What We Do

Books on the House is dedicated to empowering communities through innovative literacy initiatives and FREE book access via our book mobile! Our vibrant programs offer FREE access to books for ALL ages, ensuring that everyone can explore, learn, and grow in the Mecklenburg County & Lake Norman regions of NC.  By investing in the power of literacy, we're not just providing free books; we're empowering individuals to unlock their full potential, write their future story, and enrich the communities in which they live.

Interesting Info
  • Since March of 2023 we have given out 25,443 books to our local communities AND saved that many books from hitting the landfills!
  • We not only promote free book access, but also promote the recycling of books to avoid books being dumped into the landfills unneccisarily.
  • We continue to help other fellow non-profits by providing books to their programming or books for their events!
