What We Do
Bright Hopes mission is to implement projects that stimulates improved school attendance by students in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. As a community, one common goal is for youth to receive a good education. This can provide them with positive choices in their future. It would mean so much if everyone could function at their full potential. School teachers have the huge responsibility of educating the youth they serve. They cannot do it alone. Layers of Community support is needed from so many directions. Bright Hopes implements projects that reduce barriers that challenge learning for youth. Teachers need to feel supported. As we grow old and pass the torch we want community youth to be equipped to receive it and carry on
- Bright Hopes has served thousands of youth with improving school attendance over the years.
- Youth who don’t attend school regularly miss out on opportunities for learning and for success.
- We are working to cut school absences by 50%.
