Bright Side Youth Ranch inspires the next generation towards hope by pairing hurting kids with adult mentors and horses for mentoring sessions. We serve children and teens, ages 8 to 18 years old, that are experiencing crisis, trauma, are feeling overwhelmed by their emotions or problems, and dealing with ongoing and current life challenges. Those can include anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, divorce, separation, loss/grief, self-harm, chronic illness, foster/adoptive/kinship care, or any combination. We help each child process their pain and emotions in a healthy way and point them towards hope and healing. We wholeheartedly believe that every child needs an additional outside voice in their lives to offer support, share love, and speak truth.
Nearly all of the students in our session program are from Mecklenburg and York counties, although we also serve also serve Union, Gaston, Lancaster, and Chester counties.
We also love taking our horses and ponies to schools, organizations, and events.
