Cakeable Charlotte
What We Do
Cakeable is a workforce development program that equips our neighbors who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities with skills for successful, inclusive employment. We offer vocational training in a commercial baking kitchen in the Oakhurst neighborhood, and Cakeable's 14 employees sell their baked goods at Julia's Cafe & Books, the Catalyst Coffee Bar at CPCC Main Campus, and the Uptown Farmers Market. Our team also uses their creative abilities to produce candles, bath products, and art available for sale at Sardis Marketplace. Our mission is to joyfully empower people, businesses, and communities to achieve their fullest potential through inclusive work environments!
