The Carolina Theatre is a longtime jewel in the Queen City’s crown, and after nearly five decades of vacancy, it’s returning to its original splendor after an extensive restoration. First opened in 1927, the Carolina Theatre quickly became a pre-eminent cultural venue located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. It hosted such world-class entertainers as Elvis Presley as well as local artists, including the first performance of the Charlotte Symphony in 1932.
Our programming will consist of some of the best art and artists locally and from around the world. Expect to be amazed by live music, comedy, film, speakers, civic conversations and much more.
