What We Do

The vision of CADDC is to create an inclusive community that embraces everyone who share a love and passion for African drumming, dance, and culture. We offer weekly dance classes for both youth and adults, and our target audiences are children, adults, and seniors within Charlotte and the greater Charlotte Metro area.  Our programs also include a regular children's dance initiative, drum instruction for all ages, drum circles, and specialized programs for senior dancers and drummers. Additionally, we provide performance opportunities for community members in celebration of holidays such as Black History Month, Juneteenth and Kwanzaa.

Interesting Info
  • Our weekly Traditional West African dance classes for children and adults accompanied by live drumming.
  • Our classes are led by professional dance and drum instructors who collectively bring over 30 years of experience to the arts.
  • We have showcased our talents through televised live performances on WBTV Charlotte, Juneteenth festivals and during the annual Kwanzaa Charlotte.
