What We Do
Charlotte Community Health Clinic (CCHC) provides health care services to low-income, un- and underinsured individuals in the greater Mecklenburg area. CCHC is a comprehensive, fully integrated primary care facility for adults and children. Services include acute and chronic disease treatment and management, preventative health services, behavioral health, women's health, pediatrics, diagnostics, health education, and dental services. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most major private insurances. For individuals without insurance, we offer a discount program.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 - SPECIFIC NEEDS:
How We Are Impacted:
As a provider of health care services to our community’s most vulnerable neighbors, CCHC is on the front lines of providing care, assessing patients for symptoms (in our clinics or by phone), and connecting patients to testing sites, if not already present in our clinic.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
With the anticipated increase in patients coming to our office presenting with respiratory symptoms, and with 83% of patients having no health insurance, CCHC has the following needs:
• $155 provides an office visit for an uninsured patient
• $25 provides a telehealth visit for an uninsured patient
• $15 provides an afterhours triage call for a patient
A donation in any dollar amount will be used to purchase the following supplies:
• Hand sanitizer
• Antibacterial soap
• EPA grade disinfectant wipes or cleaner
• Nitrile gloves
• Face masks for children and adults
• Disposable head and show covers
• Disposable gowns
• Paper towels
• Level 3 masks with face shield for staff
Any COVID-19 funding remaining after this pandemic is over will go towards office visits to care for our patients without health insurance.
CCHC is seeking nursing volunteers to assist us with providing nursing care at two of our community partner sites so CCHC can use existing nursing staff to meet the medical needs in our clinical sites. Nursing volunteers will need to complete our volunteer application, a background check, and drug screening.
