What We Do

The mission of Charlotte Family Housing is to empower working families experiencing homelessness to achieve long-term self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services and advocacy.

How We Are Impacted:

At Charlotte Family Housing (CFH), the safety and well-being of our families and staff is our top priority. In light of the national emergency that is the COVID-19 pandemic, until further notice: 1. Only essential personnel and residents may enter our shelters and 2. Tours, workshops, and volunteer opportunities are suspended at all sites.

How You Can Help - By Donating to our CFH COVID-19 Emergency Fund:

*The families we serve are less likely to have paid sick leave, health insurance, and access to quality healthcare. As uncertainty increases, we remain committed to supporting our families and staff as we continue to pursue our mission. You can support us in this commitment by contributing to our newly established CFH COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

For more information, please visit our website at:
To donate, please click DONATE NOW! from the Donate tab on our homepage.

*High-quality disinfectants and disinfecting wipes are in high demand right now. If you have a surplus of Lysol Disinfectant, or Clorox or Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, and would like to donate those supplies to help the families and staff at our homeless shelters, please email:

*We are also in need of several household items from our Give Shop Amazon Wish List. The link where you can help our families by shopping from home is right here on our SHARE Charlotte homepage. Thank you for thinking of CFH.
