What We Do

The mission of the Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center is to provide access to superior speech-language and hearing services that empower and transform lives. We work to ensure that everyone has access to the speech-language and hearing services they need to build their own pathways to success and to obtain a meaningful and enriched life. While we offer the highest quality of care and state of the art technology, we also provide our speech and hearing programs to those in need, regardless of income, thanks to our Assistance Fund and Hearing Service Bank.

During Giving Tuesday 2022, we are asking for your support in raising $3,000 towards new activity and learning tools for our Speech-Language Pathologists to use during their in-person therapy sessions and language and literacy impact programs. Help us finish our Christmas Wish List by making a monetary or in-kind donation! Your support will help our expert Speech-Language Pathologists continue to provide the highest-quality therapy services.

Interesting Info

  • Our speech team works closely with child care facilities to screen hundreds of preschoolers each year to identify children who are in need of speech therapy.
  • The CSHC Hearing Services Bank is the only program of its kind, providing state-of-the art hearing aids to those who require them, regardless of income.
