What We Do
CharlotteEAST is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the people and places that make East Charlotte great. Our mission is to develop and strengthen social and economic capital in East Charlotte by elevating the collective voice of its people, neighborhoods, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and civic organizations.
- Community Engagement: Connecting neighbors to services and programs, building cross-sector coalitions, and hosting community meetings
- Economic Development: Promoting our small businesses, working to improve multimodal transportation, supporting placemaking initiatives, and attracting economic investments
- Education: Developing east side leaders, fostering civic engagement, uplifting our teachers, and providing our schools with volunteer manpower
