Classroom Central
Classroom Central's Mission: To foster equity in education by providing teachers and students with the free resources they need to succeed.
Each day of the school year, buses rumble through our community carrying children to schools where more than 54% of the student population qualifies for free or reduced lunch. As inflation rises, this number continues to grow. When families are struggling to pay rent and buy groceries, the overwhelming cost of sending a child to school prepared and ready to learn becomes cost-prohibitive. Unfortunately, this means that most of these students arrive at school without the supplies they need to draw, create, or even write – a reality that leaves many teachers bearing the burden of providing for students on top of already stretched salaries.
Not having the proper supplies not only impacts a child's academic abilities, but it also affects their social and emotional well-being; negatively impacting both self-confidence and self-esteem which are fundamental to their ability to learn. How You Can Help: Financial Donation Requests: We receive no funding from the government, school districts, or United Way. Classroom Central is 100% supported by businesses, foundations, and individuals who believe, as we do, that a good education is one of the most reliable ways to help them reach their full potential. Classroom Central is able to turn each dollar donated into $9 worth of school supplies distributed into our community. We thank you for your support.
Specific Volunteer Requests: We invite you to help us ensure every student has access to the supplies needed to learn. Choose from our volunteer opportunities.
