What We Do
Congregations for Kids (CFK) is a bridge organization that provides clear pathways for churches, groups and individuals to support youth in foster care. We focus on creating relational systems of support. As a trusted partner of Mecklenburg County Youth and Family Services, CFK has direct access to meet the needs of foster youth through our four pathways: Foster, Mentor, Serve & Give.
IMPACT OF COVID-19 - SPECIFIC NEEDS:
Times of increased trauma, tragedy, fear, and rapidly changing circumstances can have an extremely negatively impact the most vulnerable kids in care and the families and social workers that care for them.
We have an amazing opportunity to help meet some basic needs for kids in care in response to specific requests made through DSS. If you'd like to help meet this need, you can assist in purchasing gift cards for kids and families in need. You can help by:
>> SENDING AN ELECTRONIC GIFT CARD TO GIFTCARD@CFKNC.ORG
>> MAILING A GIFT-CARD TO OUR OFFICE ADDRESS:
Congregations for Kids
5835 Executive Center Drive
Charlotte, NC, 28212
>> MAKING A MONETARY DONATION
Select the COVID-19 Gift Card campaign. All donations made to this campaign will go directly to purchasing gift cards to meet the specific needs of kids in care and kids who have aged out.
