What We Do
CFK mobilizes the community to be Champions for kids in the foster care system. We do this through four pathways of engagement: FOSTER, MENTOR, SERVE & GIVE.
- FOSTER: We recruit and train foster parents for Mecklenburg County, coming alongside them in their foster parent journey.
- MENTOR: Through our unique Mentor Match program, we connect older youth in foster care to caring, committed adults.
- SERVE: Our Socialight program serves to encourage front-line child welfare professionals through radical hospitality.
- GIVE: The CAREnow platform allows members of the community an opportunity to meet immediate, tangible needs for kids during the critical transition into foster care.
