What We Do

Our mission is to empower women and children through education, health, residential care, and supportive services. We envision ending the generational cycle of poverty and trauma, creating better tomorrows.

Our services include: a safe place to live, counseling, access to health care, parenting support, education services and vocational training, nutrition education, early child development education, adoption support, and case management all from a trauma-informed perspective.  We have three residential programs:

  1. Maternity: Serving women and girls of any age experiencing homelessness
  2. Sarah's House: Mother-child program serving girls and young women in foster care who are parenting
  3. Legacy Hall: Serving teen girls and young women in foster care with a focus on independent living skills

Additionally, we have one follow-up care program called the Aftercare Parenting Education Program (APEP).

We are always looking for volunteers to support our programs! You can teach a class/ activity based on your personal skills or interests, prepare and serve a meal, host a baby shower for an expecting mother, babysit to give a young mom some free time, tutor or any other ideas you may have!

Our greatest needs:

•Diapers (all sizes) & baby wipes

•Toiletries

•New twin sheets, pillows and comforters

•Towels

Other opportunities include joining our Board of Directors and/or Event Committees.
