Dream Girls University

Dream Girls University (DGU) is a 501(c)(3) designated organization dedicated to helping young women and girls become the best they can be. Our core values target building self-confidence, taking responsibility, and teaching them the value of education. No dream is too big. We teach our girls to envision it, believe it, and know that their dreams will become a reality as long as they believe in themselves and dare to dream. We work diligently to organize effective mentoring programs that are in line with our mission and vision. Currently DGU offers: Workshops - We offer workshops that are centered around developing girls holistically, such as body awareness, financial planning, budgeting, gardening, grocery shopping, journaling, team building, confidence, self love, college readiness, leadership, positive personal image and so much more. Programs - We link girls with mentors in the community. This program, titled Pass the Dream, focuses on finding mentors in fields of our members interest and connecting them. This connection provides mentors with an opportunity to PASS THE DREAM they once had and achieved to our youth. Reach Back - Our Reach Back program gives college and high school students an opportunity to be a big sister and create a lasting relationship or experience with someone. This relationship should have a positive impact on ones life. If you are a college, high or middle school student who is interested in the program, please get in contact with us. Girl Talk - Girl Talk sessions are designed to engage young ladies in conversations that help them to discover themselves. We host middle school and high school sessions. Events - Events hosted every quarter. The events give girls in the community a platform to speak with experienced individuals in our community about topics important to them. Scholarships - We provide scholarships to high school seniors and college students who are devoted to giving back to their community.
