Our mission is to ensure that every individual in Mecklenburg County and beyond has access to affordable and essential at-home technology. Our ultimate goal is to see students in our community on a path of upward mobility through technology access, digital education training, and by providing exposure to workforce development opportunities in the technology industry through our student-led refurbishment labs. Laptop Donations Requested: We are always encouraging corporations to consider us for donations of laptops to further our mission. Financial Donations Requested: Our most immediate need is for hardware for our laptops, mostly cords and hard drives. Volunteer Needs: We are always interested in anyone who is willing to help us with grant research and grant writing.
- E2D has distributed over 37,000 laptops to students and families in the Charlotte area.
- All of our computers are refurbished by CMS students in our refurbishing labs located in Cornelius, at AvidXchange, and in our new EY Wavespace.
- In 2018, E2D received "The Blue Diamond Award for Non-Profit Technology" from IT-ology.
