Emerald School of Excellence (ESE) is a transformative, accredited recovery high school in Charlotte, NC, serving students in grades 9-12 from North and South Carolina. Following the NC standard course of study, ESE provides a private high school diploma to graduates and is fully accredited by the Association of Recovery Schools (ARS). With personalized education, a low student teacher ratio, and recovery support, ESE empowers students to achieve long-term recovery, graduate, and prepare for their next steps. By addressing substance use early, ESE helps reduce the strain on public systems like healthcare and justice, while combating the substance use disorder epidemic.
