What We Do
Homelessness among foster youth is a critical issue that demands immediate attention. Many foster youth age out of the system at 18, lacking adequate support and resources to successfully transition to independent living. According to recent statistics, a staggering number of foster youth experience homelessness within weeks after exiting the foster care system. This vulnerability leads to dire consequences, including high rates of involvement in the criminal justice system, teenage pregnancies, and tragically, premature deaths due to lack of housing and support.
