Generation WE
Generation WE is dedicated to creating a more inclusive future by offering children the chance to explore and embrace differences. Through the use of diverse literature and multi-sensory activities, kids discover the importance of storytelling, sharing their own experiences while reflecting on those of others. This multifaceted approach fosters early recognition of different perspectives, encouraging a more inclusive community.
Generation WE uses two thoughtful channels to reach children ages 2-15, Stories of Belonging (literature) and Voices of Belonging (interactive experiences). Together, these programs encourage children to embrace the power of storytelling and to foster connection, understanding, and empathy.
We believe everyone should have access to our books and workshops. To make this happen, we partner with organizations that support marginalized communities, ensuring that anyone who wants to access our resources can do so.
- We partner with CMS and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library to bring our workshops and inclusive literature to as many children ages 2-15 as possible.
- Our Generation WE library hosts over 375 titles spanning 20 categories.
- We have served over 2000 children and donated over 1500 books.
