What We Do
The mission of Healing Vine Harbor is to reduce the number of single women living in shelters or unsafe situations, providing a pathway out of poverty to ensure self-sufficiency. literacy, educational preparation, employability readiness, mentoring and much more.
Healing Vine Harbor (HVH) is an independent living skills program for homeless or displaced young women (ages 18+) who lack the necessary skills to be self-sufficient. Because they lack the preparation or resources for the future, they end up in shelters, jail, or bounced around from place to place. We are here to help transform lives one woman at a time by empowering them through education, & life skills training. We provide free monthly workshops that include but are not limited to self-esteem, financial literacy, employability skills such as resume writing and interviewing skills, nutrition, healthy relationships, etiquette, shopping and couponing, cooking, etc. We also provide individual mentoring and cultural enrichment.
