Heart Math Tutoring recruits and supports volunteers as one-on-one tutors in Charlotte elementary schools during the school day, prioritizing economically-disadvantaged students who may lack resources to access private tutoring. Heart has developed a fun, hands-on, CMS approved curriculum that helps fill in the conceptual gaps of students who are below grade level in math. With a commitment of 30 minutes or one hour per week, many of Heart's volunteers tutor before work or during lunchtime. Volunteers have an impactful presence in Heart's partner schools, serving over 50 students in grades 1 - 5 per school. Sign up to be a tutor in the 2024/25 school year here!
