Hearts and Hands Food Pantry exists because we believe food is a basic human right. Every single person regardless of circumstances, age, ethnicity, and beliefs needs nutritious food daily. This belief in our hearts guides us in our strong commitment to combating food insecurity, expanding food access and creating food equity. Hearts and Hands Food Pantry is a fully independent food pantry, allowing our services to be easily accessible and low-barrier. We have proudly served the greater Charlotte Metro area and surrounding counties since 2017. We currently support over 4500+ families, providing shelf stable and perishable groceries, personal care products, baby needs including diapers and formula, pet supplies and more through our curbside pickup and delivery service. We are open Tuesday & Thursday afternoons and every other Saturday morning by appointment, no referral needed. The families that we serve and especially the children in these families are the heart of why we do what we do. As a 100% volunteer food pantry, we are currently the only pantry in Mecklenburg County that provides our clients with full choice to select the items that they need and want through our custom appointment system on our website. We chose to give those experiencing a crisis the same dignity that we enjoy when we shop for ourselves, rather than just handing them a box of pre-selected items that most often do not allow for unique preferences, diets and health requirements. We minister to the body and spirit of those in need and welcome anyone who needs our services.
