Holistic Development: "Spilling the Tea"
In our "Spilling the Tea" roundtable sessions, girls engage in open and honest discussions about the challenges and experiences they face in today’s society. Through these conversations, they build essential social-emotional skills while exploring topics like friendships, school, goal-setting, self-awareness, self-esteem, resilience, and communication. This space allows them to express themselves, grow in confidence, and develop the skills they need to navigate life with strength and self-assurance.
Mentor Talks: Black Girl Brilliance – Stories of Success and Resilience
Each quarter, our girls connect with inspiring women who share their personal and professional journeys. These mentor talks expose them to a world of possibilities, showing them that success is limitless, and gender should never be a barrier. Every Black girl deserves to see herself as a leader. We believe that when she can see it, she can believe it—and when she can dream it, she can achieve it. To extend our reach, we are building a virtual database of these powerful stories, ensuring that girls everywhere have access to mentorship and inspiration.
Hands-On Learning: "A Seat at the Table"
Following each Mentor Talk, students take what they’ve learned and bring it to life through hands-on projects and activities. Rooted in project-based learning and 21st-century skill-building, these experiences help girls explore careers, sharpen critical thinking, and develop real-world skills that prepare them for the future. Through "A Seat at the Table," we empower Black girls to step into spaces where they belong—confident, prepared, and ready to lead.
