What We Do
InReach provides innovative housing, employment, community services and emergency financial assistance to support people with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities and their families. Specifically, that means we assist people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities in six core areas: good places to live, jobs, volunteer opportunities, community connections, independence and help in reaching personal goals. Services are tailored to the specific needs of the individual while respecting their right of dignity, opportunity and inclusion. Through our unique programs InReach strives to reach our vision: Empowering people we support to realize that their goals, aspirations and dreams are within reach. IMPACT OF COVID-19 - SPECIFIC NEEDS: How we are impacted:The majority of our program participants who are employed have been laid off, the closing of schools have forced the families we serve to stay home from work, and access to public transportation (which is the primary means of transportation) is impacting access to food/supplies and getting to necessary appointments. Additionally, we have had to close our Baxter Street Day Supports and Activity Center and our largest spring fundraiser the Crown Town Throwdown has been postponed until October 2020. Financial Donations Requested: COVID-19 is having a tremendous financial impact on the special needs community. Please consider giving financially to InReach, so that together we can provide the services we deem critical for our program participants; housing, food and physical/emotional health.
